I was working in tourism industry since 1976 starting with EL AL Israel airline.
As of 1982 I was appointed as commercial manager for EL AL in France. As of 1985 I was promoted to the position of EL AL General Manager for Switzerland.
Joined Amadeus on April 1st , 2000. Opened ACO Israel and in just a few years managed to get the Amadeus market share from 0 to 50%.
On May 2018 was appointed as Head of NECSE Hospitality and Ground Transportation.
Anna Kofoed
Senior Vice President, Retail for Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Europe
Anna was recently appointed Senior Vice President, Retail for Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Europe. In this role she works whole-heartedly, together with a team of skilled and enthusiastic experts to deliver on the needs of retail travel agency customers in her region. Anna’s ambition is to drive business results for Amadeus customers by working with them and with partners and colleagues to create a live travel space where everyone comes together to do business ‐ based on the industry’s preferred travel platform that enables travel companies to access any content from any provider, via multiple technologies. Anna is Danish and moved to Spain in the late 90s to set up a subsidiary of Denmark‘s first web publishing company “Dansk Internet Selskab”. She first discovered Amadeus at a tech event in 2001. For someone with an International MBA (Copenhagen Business School) specializing in intercultural management the kind of diversity Amadeus offered was irresistible. She joined Amadeus a few months later and in the 18 years since, she has developed her skills and held various management roles across functions and disciplines from Marketing to strategy, business planning, commercial and most recently she was Head of Travel Content Sourcing in Travel Channels. She still thrives on the diversity and pace of Amadeus as she works with customers and partners to shape the future of travel.
Ori Ben-Artzi
Head of Business Travel in Southern Europe & Israel
As the leader of Business travel agencies team in Southern Europe, Ori is responsible for Amadeus’ growth, the company’s strategy and developing customer satisfaction and relationships.
The customer portfolio managed by her within the business travel industry is one of the most challenging and ever-evolving sectors in our field.
Ori is responsible for Business travel agencies Customer Account servicing in sales, marketing, delivery and customer support activities in 13 countries in SE.
Ori joined Amadeus in 2010 and since then she has held positions such as Sales Director and Deputy GM in the Israeli market.
Ori holds an executive-MBA from Tel Aviv University of Management, Israel.
Leonid Marmer
Head of Retail Cluster Eastern Europe, Russia, CIS and Israel
Leonid graduated from the Faculty of Computer Engineering at the University of Technology in Kaunas (Lithuania) with a degree in systems engineering. He has many years of experience in the field of information technology, marketing, aviation and tourism. He has held various management positions in Russia and abroad, including international companies Olivetti Computers & Systems and Terminal Computers & Multimedia. In 2008‐2014 he headed TAL Aviation in Moscow, representing 11 major foreign airlines in Russia and CIS, including American Airlines, AirEuropa, Bangkok Airways, Qantas, Germania, etc. From 2014 to 2018 Leonid headed the oldest travel company in Russia, Intourist, which is part of Thomas Cook, the largest international travel holding. In February 2018, Leonid joined the Amadeus team and is currently responsible for business development in Russia, CIS and Israel, and also provides overall management of Amadeus Russia as General Manager. In this role Leonid is responsible for distribution network efficiency, cooperation with industry partners and Amadeus strategic growth in the region.
Sascha Vylders
Head of Solution Expertise, Customer Solutions, Business Travel Agencies
As the Head of Solution Expertise for Business Travel Agencies I am constantly working with our customers and prospects to discuss different topics going from the strategic level all the way down to the processes on the working floor. It’s an amazing job and it is very enriching to see all the different opinions, strategies, IT systems and operational processes. Prior to joining Amadeus in 2001, I held a commercial role in a larger Travel Management Company and I started my job with Iberia as a ticketing agent and then later in a marketing and commercial role. Since I joined Amadeus in 2001, I have held different positions including Project Management, Services Delivery, Pre-sales and Account Management.
Michael Bayle
Executive Vice-President, Mobile
Michael joined Amadeus in November 2014 as Executive Vice-President to lead its Mobile strategy across the company. In this new capacity, Michael will be responsible for defining and delivering the mobile strategy worldwide. Prior to Amadeus Michael worked at the New York based mobile advertising company xAD. Michael brings a deep expertise in mobile and digital media ecosystems gained with a broad range of experience working in companies such as sports media company ESPN where he was Senior Vice‐President of ESPN Mobile, digital media company Amobee, as well as Yahoo! where he led mobile advertising. This experience is complemented with business development practices he acquired in several engagements in new company ventures. Michael holds a BA in Japanese and a BS and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University.
Sascha Nau
Head of Marketing & Communication
Northern, Eastern, Central & Southern Europe, Retail Travel Channels Sascha Nau has been Head of Marketing & Communication at Amadeus for the regions Northern, Eastern, Central & Southern Europe since 2018. Before that he was leading the German, Austria & Switzerland marketing teams. After studying business administration, he initially worked for DuPont de Nemours, where he was responsible for technical marketing in the area of graphical arts and printing and publishing in different management positions. In 2001 he moved to the IT and tourism industry at HitchHiker GmbH and was leading the marketing and customer service departments. Sascha's career in the travel industry spans over 15+ years and he has been responsible for marketing at Amadeus since 2011. In addition to strategic marketing and marketing communication, he manages and hosts customer events and is presenting different IT and tourism & travel related topics. Sascha is a marketing innovator creating new formats and ways of marketing establishing long‐term business relationships and securing sustainable growth.
Jean-Louis Richard
Vice President, Storytelling & Context Management
As the lead spokesperson on key customer and industry topics for Amadeus Travel Channels, I also drive selected internal evolution programs. Reporting to the SVP Travel Channels, my team and I do work very closely with Travel Channels Strategy & Transformation as well as People, Culture, Communication & Branding teams. Prior to this role, I led the Amadeus Customer Service (ACS) team responsible for Amadeus' worldwide customer service strategy and for ensuring the delivery of support services to Amadeus customers globally. Since I joined Amadeus in July 1989, I have held several positions including COO Millennium Foundation, General Manager Amadeus.
Lutz Vorneweg
SVP Commercial, Online & Travel Media Costumers, Northern, Eastern, Central & Southern Europe at Amadeus IT Group
Lutz Vorneweg leads the Marketing, Sales and Account Servicing teams for the Online & Travel Media Segment in Northern, Eastern, Central & Southern Europe since October 2017. His customer portfolio includes the fastgrowing Online Travel Agencies, Travel Media, Meta Search and Online Startup Companies based in the NECSE region. Prior to his current role, he lead the network of 19 local Amadeus Commercial Organisations of the Central, Eastern & Southern European region, covering 36 countries and directed the sales, marketing, delivery, product management, and customer support activities. Lutz previously managed the Marketing, Portfolio Management & Operations division of the NECSE region out of Sophia Antipolis as well as the Marketing and Portfolio Management functions for the EMEA region. Lutz was appointed Director, TOPS Services & Consulting in July 2006 after having started and formed the team in October 2003. He directed the global services and consulting teams of TOPS with responsibility for the successful implementation and support of point of sale solutions used by travel agencies, airlines, and tour operators. In November 2000, Lutz was appointed Senior Manager, Service Management Group, where he was responsible for the global help desk operations within Global Customer Services. Previously, he held several management positions in Sophia Antipolis and Miami within the Global Customer Services division. Prior to joining Amadeus in 1992, Lutz began his career in travel with First Reisebuero and Deutsches Reisebuero in Germany where he held sales manager positions. Lutz holds an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from HEC Paris. He is a native German, speaks English and French, and has worked in France, Germany and the USA.
Eric Willems
Sales Director, Online Travel Agencies Central & Southern Europe
What I like about my role, is the challenge to push the boundaries of travel technology with my clients and help them think not only about today’s end user experiences but more so to help them create an end‐consumer vision for the future. From 1998 till 2011, Eric worked in several Senior Management positions for renowned carriers such as Delta Airlines, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air where he successfully launched various markets, as well as grew distribution and revenue opportunities. During the period from 2012 to 2016, Eric made a switch to the ground operational side of the aviation industry, working as Commercial Director, and later on Global Business Development Director for Celebi Ground handling based in Turkey. In February 2016 Eric, was hired by Amadeus in Turkey, in the role of General Manager Turkey, and transferred to Amadeus’s headquarters in Nice in Aug 2018 to take up the role of Sales Director Online for Central & Southern Europe.
